Last Round for Cultural Protection Fund 2016-20

Editor News

The British Council’s £30m Cultural Protection Fund, in partnership with DCMS, is set up to protect cultural heritage at risk in 12 conflict-affected countries: Tunisia, Libya, Egypt, Sudan, Yemen, Palestinian Territories, Jordan, Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, Turkey and Afghanistan.

Due to unprecedented demand, much of the £30m committed between 2016-2020 has already been allocated to projects which are working to keep cultural objects and sites safe in the Middle East and North Africa.

As the final year of the 2016-2020 Fund approaches, a one-off round of funding for grants up to £300k is announced. This will be the closing round for the Cultural Protection Fund’s 2016-20 programme and is aimed specifically at projects delivering activity until December 2019.

To apply to this closing round, you will need to submit an Expression of Interest form to confirm suitability of your project for funding. If successful, you will be invited to submit a full application form.

The Cultural Protection Fund, delivered by the British Council, is recruiting a Team Assistant to support all aspects of the CPF team. The role is based in Manchester or Edinburgh and the deadline to apply is Sunday 12th August 2018 (23:59 UK time). Visit the website to view the job description and person specification and to apply.
