Heritage Alliance CEO, Lizzie Glithero-West was a keynote speaker at the launch of the new Eden Heritage Trails at Brougham Castle last week – produced in partnership with Historic England and local heritage attractions [see picture in header]. The trails bring together a number of Alliance members at the local level in these place-based heritage trails – from historic houses and sites to steam railways. A free Eden Heritage app is available for download. Lizzie took the opportunity to meet other Alliance members in the Lake District, such as the National Trust’s restored Claife Viewing Station, Wray Castle and Hilltop House, Historic House Members Dalemain, and various vessels on the UK Historic Ships register to learn about the issues they face. She also visited AIM members, The Lakeland Arts Trust, at Blackwell Arts and Crafts House and the Museum of Boats, Steam and Stories at Windermere Jetty, due to open soon.
