Le Lay Architects join The Heritage Alliance

Editor News

The Heritage Alliance is delighted to welcome Le Lay Architectsas a new affiliate member. Le Lay Architects cares deeply for the buildings they work on and the neighbourhoods they work within. The practice is recommended by clients for its sensitive approach to alteration and intervention. This has come through many years of working on and researching historic buildings. Le Lay Architects was founded in 1970 by the late David Le Lay and is today run by its second generation of architect principals. Since its inception it has had a close association with Chelsea, London as well as working on projects across England.

Now in its fifth decade the practice is building on its experience of design, planning and conservation and seeks to take a leading role in work on historic buildings. It recognises the importance of practice research and how it benefits clients and feeds into the profession. Through our website and activities, we have sought to engage with artists and widen interest in architecture and conservation.

Le Lay Architects look forward to being actively involved with the Heritage Alliance and learning from the deep and varied knowledge and experience of its members. As architects, they hope to bring their skills of enquiry, design and project management to the Alliance.
