London Cultural Organisations Launch Climate Change Campaign

Editor News

A range of cultural organisations have teamed up to declare a ‘climate and ecological emergency’. On 3rd April, the Culture Declares Emergency (CDE) campaign was launched with a parade in central London, led by a horse and rider wearing a ‘living grass coat’ grown by artists Ackroyd and Harvey.

This global movement is made up of individuals and institutions from the arts, culture and creative sectors, and has been set up with the aim of promoting collective action on the climate crisis. A toolkit on the CDE website explains what the project is and how organisations or individuals can take part.
