London Museum of Water and Steam joins The Heritage Alliance

The Heritage Alliance is delighted to announce that the London Museum of Water and Steam is now one of their members.

The London Museum of Water & Steam is an independent Accredited Museum, governed by the Kew Bridge Engines Trust. The Kew Bridge Engines Trust and Water Supply Museum Limited, a registered charity, was formed in 1973 with three primary aims:

  1. To restore to steam the five historic beam engines at the former Grand Junction Water Works Company’s Kew Bridge Pumping Station
  2. Add other important water pumping engines
  3. Establish a museum of London’s water supply

The museum’s work is incredibly important for the preservation of Britain’s industrial heritage, and we were very pleased to have them speak at Heritage Day 2016 about the incredible transformation of the museum several years prior.

If you would like to visit, they can be found at Green Dragon Lane, Brentford, London TW8 0EN.

They run a number of family-friendly, educational events throughout the year that offer great opportunities to learn about their work in the heritage sector – to find out more, please click here.
