National Archives Launch New ‘Networks for Change’ Funding Scheme

The National Archives have recently launched a Networks for Change funding scheme to support collaboration between archive services by providing funding that leads to strong archive service networks.

The fund provides grants of up to £15,000 and welcomes applications from all parts of the archive sector including local authority, charity and business archives as long as certain eligibility criteria are met.

A nominated member of the network should make the application on behalf of the network using the National Archives’ online application system. The funding programme operates on a rolling basis and organisations can apply at any time. The future cut-off dates for applications are:

  • Round 1: Monday 28th October 2019 (Funding decisions will be announced week commencing 9th December)
  • Round 2: Monday 20th January 2020 (Funding decisions will be announced week commencing 16th March)
  • Round 3: Monday 11th May 2020 (Funding decisions will be announced week commencing 6th July 2020)
