Over 100 UK funding bodies have already published information on grant distribution via a new online open data platform, and the National Lottery Heritage Fund [Affiliate Alliance Member] have been the latest to do so.
Open data is information that can be freely used, shared and built-on by anyone, anywhere, for any purpose.
The decision, it is hoped, will enable industry organisations and local communities alike to better understand how and where grants are awarded.
