National Trust: Lead Curator

Editor News

Location is flexible and can be based at any region hub or office across the North.

As Lead Curator, you’ll play a leadership role in your region, influencing other senior leaders and supporting the team of curators to deliver our curatorial ambition. You’ll be a senior curator, supporting some of the region’s most significant and complex properties, but also skilled at building relationships and leading change. You’ll work with other Lead Curators to develop organisation-wide approaches to professional development, research and knowledge management.

As well as supporting a diverse portfolio of properties, as Curator you’ll need to build strong and influential relationships with specialists and operational teams. You’ll be a skilled communicator and able to enthuse and inspire others.

You’ll ensure that everything we do balances our need to conserve our heritage, with our need to continue to enhance our emotional engagement with visitors, whilst retaining our “Spirit of Place” that makes each property unique.
