On 14 August, the British Council announced their new Chairman, Stevie Spring CBE. Named as one of Britain’s 500 most influential people and one of the UK’s 100 most connected women, she will be succeeding Christopher Rodrigues, who served from 2016 to May 2019.
Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab expressed delight with what Stevie Spring will bring to the role and said “The British Council has a vital role to play in projecting Global Britain as we seize the opportunities of Brexit and strengthen ties with countries all around the world.”
