New Film Uncovers Moving History of UK’s National Parks

Throughout this year Campaign for National Parks, the only independent national charity dedicated to all the National Parks in England and Wales, has been leading celebrations of the 70th anniversary of the legislation that created National Parks.

This has included collecting personal histories from those incredible pioneers who remember the early days of the National Parks and those who remember them.

The organisation has released a new six-minute film this week with actress Caroline Quentin, which features the voices of the visionaries of the environmental movement as they describe the early days of the National Parks in their own words.

Corinne Pluchino, Chief Executive of Campaign for National Parks commented: “This film is in honour of those incredible men and women who dedicated their lives so that we might enjoy some of the most special and spectacular landscapes in the countryside.
