Public consultation on Europeana Digital Platform for Cultural Heritage

Editor News

The European Commission is consulting on the role of Europeana for the digital access, visibility and use of European cultural heritage. The consultation results will contribute to the evaluation of Europeana and will help direct its future development.

Europeana is Europe’s digital platform for cultural heritage. It currently provides access to over 53 million items from the collections of over 3,700 libraries, archives, museums, galleries and audio-visual collections across Europe. The platform offers services to different audiences: citizens (anyone with an interest in culture), data partners & professionals (contributing cultural institutions; cultural heritage, creative and technology professionals) and for re-use (such as in the education, research or creative sectors).

The consultation closes 14 January 2018.
