Royal Parks: World War One – Project Officer (Part-time, 20 hours/week)

Pay Range: £25,500 – £30,600 (pro rata)
Location: Kensington Gardens, London, W2 2UH

This is a fixed term position funded through a grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF) for the delivery of a WW1 project that looks at how The Royal Parks was used during the ‘Great War’.

The post holder will work closely with The Royal Parks Guild and partner organisations to a programme including the War Garden experience in the growing spaces across the parks, delivery of a camouflage school project in Kensington Gardens and coordinating the Postal Museums re-enactment of the main depot in Regents Park.

To succeed in this role you should have experience in History, Heritage teaching or Community Engagement delivery. You should have experience in delivering, managing, monitoring and evaluating projects. Experience working with the public is essential. You should be able to work independently as well as across different teams. You will need to have strong written and verbal communication skills and be able to deliver a high standard of customer service. You will also be able to identify priorities and work in an organised manner, using your skills to deliver to time and to standard. Experience of using the Microsoft Office and Outlook is essential.
