English Heritage cares for over 400 historic monuments, buildings and places across the UK. They champion historic places, helping people to understand, care for and enjoy them, now and for future generations.

Joining the Estates Department and based in the London Office you will play a key role leading the team that maintain and improve the historic and iconic buildings English Heritage cares for. Your excellent communication and stakeholder skills will ensure your colleagues from across the organisation contribute to and buy-in to your team’s work programme.

You will have a relevant degree and/ or substantial experience in the heritage sector where you have gained knowledge of building conservation techniques. You will have applied this knowledge on a range of projects and through managing measured term contracts.  Your knowledge of estate management will enable you to work with others to develop and deliver a work programme and budget that is informed by condition surveys, commercial growth plans and safety critical reports.
