Layers of London is a map-based history project from the Institute of Historical Research, University of London which allows users to contribute stories, memories and research to map to create a unique historical research. The site also allows users to layer historical maps to compare how the city has changed through time.
We have a student placement opportunity in collaboration with the Institute of Historical Research Wohl Library which holds an extensive collection of London Directories that students can use to research in Lambeth and digitise and add their findings to the map.
