Summary of June’s #HeritageChat ‘New Uses for Historic Buildings’ now available

Editor News

June’s #HeritageChat explored new uses for historic buildings and was led by Heritage Chat and Buttress Architects. Topics discussed included the need to maintain historic value whilst embracing new uses, how best to communicate the positives of re-using historic buildings and the funding issues that limit new projects. The chat also explored the potential of the government’s current focus on ‘place’ as an opportunity to encourage fresh thinking about new uses for historic buildings and the role that heritage plays in place.

The next #HeritageChat will take place on Thursday 19th July, 1-2pm. Follow @HeritageChat and use #HeritageChat to take part!
