The UK technology sector has attracted more investment into the UK this year than it did for the whole of 2018 – according to Tech Nation the digital economy is now a larger employer than sectors such as hospitality and financial services with each employing 2.1 million, 1.3 million, and 1.2 million people respectively.
Between January and July of 2019, the sector attracted $6.7 billion of investment mainly from America and Asia. The tech sector is predicted to exceed $11 billion worth of investment by the end of the year.
