The Annual Report of the Theatres Trust [Alliance member] provides an extensive review on 4 main topics: advice & planning, campaigning, grant giving and discovery (helping people to discover more about theatres).
Over the year the Trust worked directly with more than 230 theatres and, in its statutory role, it advised on more than 200 theatre planning and listed building applications and more than 220 draft Local Plans. Last year over 5 million people attended theatres benefitting from the Theatres Trust support in 17/18.
The Trust recently announced a number of high profile Ambassadors to help them champion the future of the UK’s theatres. Several of them helped the Trust make a short film which explains their work and why it is so important to communities across the UK. View the film.
