Location: Bishopsgate, London, E1
Salary: £16,000 p.a. (3 days per week) + contributory pension

The Society for the Protection of Ancient Buildings (SPAB) wishes to recruit a Training Officer to run its training courses and activities for a range of audiences, and to develop exciting new training initiatives alongside current SPAB projects.

This is a three-days per week post based within the SPAB’s Education & Training team. The Training Officer will develop, plan, deliver and evaluate courses, events and other activities for the SPAB’s professional audiences, including building and conservation specialists, and work closely with the Education Officer to co-ordinate activities with the Society’s parallel programme for young people and non-specialist audiences.

Training, skills-sharing and enjoyment of old buildings is at the heart of the SPAB’s practical approach to conservation and this post offers an opportunity to engage people with old buildings, and to contribute directly to the formation and continuing professional development of historic building and conservation specialists.
