Venue sought to test new rising damp treatment

ProtectiT SRD (Stop Rising Damp) is a masonry dehumidification system designed to counteract capillary rising damp that does not involve harm the building structure. A unit installed on a wall generates an electromagnetic field to oppose the attraction between the capillary pores of the wall and the water to neutralise the passage of the rising damp. The technology has been successfully used for c.10 years on mainland Europe.

ProtectiT SRD’s initial installation at Glasnevin Chapel, Dublin, resulted in a visible reduction in the effects of rising damp on the mortuary wall (unsightly salt deposits) after a six week period, coinciding with a reduction in the overall dampness of the wall of 70%.

ProtectiT SP now wants to identify a suitable property in the UK to demonstrate this technology through providing a free test and installation of the system and would like to invite contact from interested property owners or curators. Please contact jon@protectitsp.co.uk with some information on your problems with rising damp.
