West Dean College of Arts and Conservation is a growing and internationally recognised College located on the 6,400 acre West Dean Estate in beautiful West Sussex countryside near Chichester, specialising in creative and applied arts. As well as being a respected educational institution, the historic house and collections, the stunning grounds and gardens open to the public, and the year round events and exhibitions make West Dean truly unique.
We are recruiting for a newly created Product and Enterprise Manager role to focus on the development of existing and new commercial opportunities across the College. Reporting into the Director of Education, this position will oversee the selection, design of merchandising and product ranges in collaboration with the curatorial and collection teams. It will also be responsible for designing the creative educational content and overseeing the delivery of a varied public and private events programme, and the effective commercial management of the West Dean IP assets.
The ideal candidate for this position will come from a commercial enterprise background in the cultural or heritage sector and possess exceptional creative skills. We are looking for someone with experience of developing product ranges, understanding current issues in relation to licencing and intellectual property, and a track record in planning and delivering events. Strong commercial acumen and excellent organisation and communication skills are also essential.
